Desc. Elliptical pit with vertical walls. The type example for cylindrical pits. Funnel is ~20 m deep, inner pit depth of 105m is measured from bottom of funnel. Walls are vertical and are visible to ~80m depth, although there is a recess all the way around the pit at ~40m depth below the surface. Floor that is not overhung is flat and covered in boulders, floor under the E wall slopes downward. There are overhangs of at least 10-15 m on E, W, and N sides. No notable surface features in the area.
