Pits Atlas: Kepler 1
Impact Melt, Fracture pit: Kepler | |
---|---|
Name | Kepler 1 |
Lat. | 8.2745 |
Long. | 322.0501 |
Desc. | An irregular L-shaped pit in a series of short fractures, though it itself is not directly connected to any fractures. Individual fractures cut diagonally across the main trend of this chain of fractures. No clear slope to the bottom, but the walls don't appear to be perfectly vertical either, and there may be (hand to traverse) entrance slopes on south and east. To the NW (same direction as other individual fractures run) is a shallow linear depression. There is a 16m crater with some bright ejecta ~20m to the west. |

Data Warning | Depth 3 is extremely high sun (10 degree incidence), so the 2 degree emission angle may be significant. Also, sun is mostly parallel to the walls. |
