Mount Marilyn
Apollo Astronaut Jim Lovell named Mount Marilyn after his wife during the Apollo 8 mission; the first crewed mission to orbit the Moon. Later the triangle shaped mountain was an important navigation landmark for the first Apollo landing. At a predicted moment, Aldrin and Armstrong glanced out the window, if Mt. Marilyn was seen they were on course – and it was there!
