Pits Atlas: Copernicus 8

Impact Melt pit: Copernicus
Name Copernicus 8
Lat. 10.1462
Long. 339.9373
Desc. Linear pit at the SSE end of a sinuous/linear depression (~40m wide). The pit itself is not very pit-like- There is a long wall parallel to the depression on the NE, and a short wall perpendicular to the SSE, but the other sides are just slopes running down to a deepest point near the center of the long wall. ~200m north of Copernicus XX. There are some hints that whatever features caused the depression forked here, as there are two very subtle possible depressions to the SSE, one of which houses Copernicus 9 (~200m S)
