Notice to Parents and Teachers:
The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) announces The Moon and Me K-12 Art Challenge! What does the Moon mean to me?
Celebrate NASA’s return to the Moon with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) by creating a unique art project that describes what the Moon means to you and how important you feel it is to future human space exploration.
Images of all entries will be displayed in LROC’s online Lunar Art Gallery and a selection of artwork will be featured in The Moon and Me Art Exhibit at ASU in the fall of 2011. The first 500 participants will receive a special “Moon Pac” that contains a signed certificate, LROC sticker, magnet, and bookmark, and the official NASA LRO mission lithograph.
Interested parents and teachers can pre-register for the program here.
