The National Air and Space Museum’s exhibition, A New Moon Rises, had a very successful run from February 26, 2016 through January 8, 2017. It is now closed. The exhibition featured 61 breathtaking images from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera along with LROC hardware.

Those that had the good fortune of visiting the museum in Washington, DC, were able to use our interactive map to get even more information on the lunar landscapes presented. If you were unable to experience this event in person, you can still enjoy browsing the images below and the interactive map will give you an idea of how the images were arranged in the museum.
