Locations of Polar Lunar Lobate Scarps Shapefile of locations for lobate scarps at the lunar poles (+/-65 to 90 deg.). Lobate scarps are relatively low-relief, linear to curvilinear fault-controlled landforms. The appearance, orientation and distribution of these scarps are believed to be formed by a combination of tidal stresses and recent global contraction of the Moon. The raw data in xls and csv format are also included for download. For more information refer to: Watters, T. R., Robinson, M. S., Collins, G. C., Banks, M. E., Daud, K., Williams, N.
